Who wouldn’t want to study abroad in Australia, where you can admire the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef and listen to the beautiful sounds coming from the Sydney Opera House?
Apparently the students of Marshall University’s W. Page Pitt School of Journalism and Mass Communication do, and they’re getting their chance to next year thanks to the university offering new internships in Australia!
Offered by the Center for Academic Programs Abroad International Education, these non-paid internships in Australia will enable the students to interview with potential employers in Australia.
More about the internship in Australia
Here is some other great information about the internship abroad:
- Students can stay with a host family or live in an apartment
- Students that choose to live in an apartment receive a food stipend
- The apartments are split-level and have two bedrooms and two bathrooms each
- Students get a public transportation pass for class and work
- Internship hours are crafted around student classes
These internships are a great way for American journalism students to see how the media functions in other countries. Plus, the Marshall University students get to experience one of the most beautiful countries on the planet.
Sounds like a win-win situation!
