Last month Study Abroad Domain added a new study abroad location to its study abroad South America section, as well as some great blog posts about various study abroad college programs in the U.S.

Here are a few highlights of the new content:

• Study Abroad Jamaica - Even though Jamaica is located in the center of the Caribbean Sea, there’s nothing isolating about the place. Its beauty always draws in visitors!
• Study Abroad Students in Mexico…Beware of the Swine Flu! - According to the Center for Disease Control, there have been 1, 184 confirmed cases of the swine flu that have occurred around the world. There have been 29 deaths in Mexico and 2 deaths in the U.S. from this flu, and that was enough to prompt Mexican officials to cancel all Cinco de Mayo celebrations in Mexico.
• Northwestern Launches South Africa Program - Thanks to a new program called “South Africa: Democracy and Development,” Northwestern University study abroad students have a chance to study in South Africa at some of the country’s top universities.
• Indianapolis Students to Study at Business School in France - A group of 11 students and 3 study abroad advisers from the Kelley School of Business Indianapolis will become part of the school’s first study abroad France program this year.
• Purdue University Calumet Students Receive Study Abroad Scholarships - Four lucky students at Purdue University Calumet each received a $1,800 Honors Study Abroad Scholarship for a summer study abroad program at a study abroad location of their choosing.

June will be another great month full of study abroad news and travel information!
