Rowan University, a public university located in Glassboro, New Jersey, recently announced that it will be putting on a benefit concert to raise money for the Josefina and Enrique Study Abroad Scholarship Fund.

This study abroad scholarship fund honors Dr. Josefina Pujals and Dr. Enrique Pujals for their three decades worth of dedication to helping Rowan student Spanish majors, and it will benefit students whose goals are to study abroad in a Latin American study abroad location.

The concert is sponsored by Rowan University’s Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures.

About the study abroad school benefit concert

The proceeds for the study abroad concert will go towards the $10,000 endowment for the Josefina and Enrique Study Abroad Scholarship Fund, which awards $1,000 every two years to a deserving student.

The concert will consist of:

  • A pre-concert lecture
  • Guitar, piano and other musical performances
  • Meet and greet with performers and faculty
  • Refreshments

This study abroad benefit concert will not only be a night full of great music, but it will also provide the funding that is needed for a few Rowan students to study abroad.

The concert will be held on October 23 at 6pm at the university’s Boyd Recital Hall.
