Did you ever think that taking study abroad pictures or study abroad photos could make you famous? Well it did for Morgan Harris, who is a politics and sociology/anthropology at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
During the 2007 fall semester Morgan was overseas studying at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad. While he was there he captured a one-of-a-kind picture of a group of musicians playing their instruments in the middle of the main square in Prague.
Morgan’s study abroad adviser, Kip Brooks, told Morgan about the National Geographic Glimpse Calendar Competition, which encourages students to study abroad and to learn about new cultures. Morgan submitted his picture and a few months later he got an email saying that his picture would be included in the calendar!

Studying abroad is rewarding in so many different ways, from learning about new cultures to sharing study abroad photos with people around the world. Always remember to take your camera with you on your travels so that you can document what you see and do.
